Job Description
Lillian Khallouf Atelier has an exciting opportunity available for a dedicated Dressmaker to join our inspired team.
About the Role
• Dressmakers will apply the customer’s measurements to fit, repair or alter clothing to their specifications.
• Responsible for constructing garments for each individual customer’s specifications
• Be open to sharing knowledge to assist the team amongst the workroom
• Pay close attention to the type of fabric and the general construction of each garment and ensure they provide a superior finish to each garment they produce.
About You
As an integral part of the team, you will be expected to have the following skills:
• Experience in all aspects of garment construction
• Minimum of 3 years experience
• Exceptional sewing skills
• Must have in-depth knowledge of pattern making, garment construction and high attention to detail.
• Basic math skills – must know how to accurately measure, add, and subtract
• Creativity – advise about fabrics and patterns, must have the ability to visualize how a garment will look before it is finished.
• Interpersonal skills – work one-on-one with the design team, must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team Player - Must work well in a team environment
