Four years ago I met a very unusual, one might say, unique group of Australians from the small town of Mullambimbi, who created a Russian choir. Why Russian? It's hard to say now. Why not?

Brilliant! And yes, these boy men are a diplomatic joy, a much loved phenomena. Imagine if world leaders were able to reach each other through the hearts, and feelings, like this... as happens in these totally surprising nights. Random human acts of respect, and splendour, that connect us all. Wondrousky!

It's magical to witness these moments where The Arts unify the world (or at least the 2000 of us there last night) and break down barriers so that we can come together as one. I hope politicians who control the purse strings for the Arts - here in Australia and around the world - can consider this as they map out budgets that they might control!
