The prose writer Anatoly Tikhonovich Gladilin (1935-2018) was born on August 21, 1935. He entered literature as one of the brightest, most poignant representatives of the new confessional prose in the mid-1950s. Anatoly Tikhonovich was the real "child" of the thaw. His sincere prose, like a fresh wind, burst into post-Stalinist society.
