Maslenitsa is an ancient Slavic holiday that was previously celebrated in a completely different way. Now Maslenitsa is considered in Russia as a holiday for the meeting of spring, with merry festivities, plenty of food and delicious pancakes. And although in Australia it is not spring now, but autumn, nobody wants to miss pancakes in our friendly community. It was on this occasion that Shrovetide was held a weekly traditional dinner in the city of Newcastle.
